Bishop Hans Herr 1639-1725
Meet Bishop Hans Herr, my 10th great-grandfather. He arrived in 1710 in Lancaster County, PA along with a number of other Swiss Mennonite immigrants. They negotiated the acquisition of 10,000 acres of land from William Penn, and these families became the foundation of further Mennonite families arriving, intermarrying, and thriving.
